I took out the audio jack, and plugged it in again but into a line-in slot I believe u can use any other slot except the one it's supposed to go in. This brought up the realtek sound management app, asking me to select what was it that I plugged in. I selected headphones, and sound was back at last. After some clicking through the app settings I tried to move the jack into the slot where it's supposed to go and it worked from there I Downloaded and installed the latest audio driver for my motherboard from official website 6.
